Aircraft: Reims/Cessna F172N — PH-GYS — Lycoming O-320-D2G, 160 BHP, McCauley fixed-pitch propeller.

Source: Cessna F172N Aircraft Flight Manual Section 5 (Edition 1, August 1976), pages 5-6, 5-7, 5-8.

Configuration: Short field technique, flaps up, full throttle prior to brake release. Distances are in meters.

Baseline conditions: Paved level dry runway, zero wind. Apply correction factors below for actual conditions.

Correction factors

  1. Mixture: Prior to takeoff from fields above 3000 ft / 914 m elevation, lean for maximum RPM in a full-throttle static runup.
  2. Headwind: Decrease distances 10% for each 9 kt of headwind.
  3. Tailwind: For tailwinds up to 10 kt, increase distances 10% for each 2 kt.
  4. Dry grass: Increase distances by 15% of the "ground roll" figure.
  5. Wet grass: Increase distances by 45% of the "ground roll" figure (PH-GYS POH annotation).

De pilot-in-command (PIC) blijft te allen tijde verantwoordelijk voor de go/no-go beslissing. Deze tabellen zijn een hulpmiddel voor planning; verifieer altijd tegen de actuele POH en omstandigheden.
